ON PURPOSE COLLECTIVE
A home for people building a more beautiful world.
A community of entrepreneurs, healers, artists, creatives, visionaries, and community builders who do meaningful, on-purpose work ✨ and life ✨ together.
We believe that people doing important things in the world deserve to be surrounded by others who are doing the same.
People who understand the excitement of a big vision, the fear of bringing it into the world, the exhaustion that can come with carrying too much, and the extraordinary things that become possible when we stop trying to do it all alone.
We want to create a community where we can build businesses, create art, lead movements, heal ourselves and others, raise families, and make meaningful contributions to the world—while also having lives filled with pleasure, joy, friendship, rest, and play.
Purpose and pleasure. Leadership and play. Individuality and interdependence.
All of it belongs here.
A HOME FOR THE WHOLE OF YOU
So much of the world asks us to separate ourselves into parts.
We bring our competence and confidence to work. Our vulnerability to therapy. Our grief to a close friend. Our creativity to the weekends. Our dreams to the rare moments when we have enough time and energy to think about them.
And for many of us, even those spaces don't have room for the fullness of who we are.
We want to build something different.
A community where we can be powerful and scared. Ambitious and exhausted. Generous and needy. Joyful and grieving. Where we can be wildly successful and still have absolutely no idea what we're doing in some parts of our lives.
We want to be known beyond our accomplishments, our roles, and what we can offer other people.
And we want to know one another that way, too.
We believe that when people have somewhere to bring their whole selves, they become more capable of doing the work they're here to do.
Not because they've figured everything out, but because they no longer have to figure everything out alone.
WHY ON PURPOSE COLLECTIVE EXISTS
We're living in a world that celebrates independence, productivity, achievement, and individual success.
And while there's nothing wrong with any of those things, something important gets lost when we're expected to build meaningful lives entirely on our own.
We see it everywhere.
Entrepreneurs who are changing lives but are completely burned out.
Healers and therapists who spend their days holding other people and have nowhere to be held themselves.
Artists and visionaries with extraordinary ideas who struggle to find the resources, encouragement, and relationships to bring them into the world.
Community leaders who are so busy caring for everyone else that their own needs become an afterthought.
People who have created lives that look successful from the outside but still feel lonely, disconnected, or exhausted.
What would become possible if we built another way?
What if we shared resources, skills, and connections?
What if we celebrated one another's successes without comparison?
What if we had people to turn to when we were struggling, instead of waiting until everything fell apart?
What if building a beautiful life was something we did together?
On Purpose Collective is an experiment in answering those questions.
Not just by talking about community, but by practicing it.
WHO WE ARE
On Purpose Collective brings together people who are committed to creating something meaningful in the world.
Entrepreneurs. Healers. Therapists. Artists. Educators. Activists. Creatives. Community organizers. Leaders. Dreamers. People who are building things that don't yet have names.
Some of us are growing businesses. Some are creating new offerings, art, or movements. Some are reimagining how we live, work, lead, and relate to one another.
We don't all have the same beliefs, backgrounds, approaches, or ideas about what the world needs.
And that's part of what makes this interesting.
We're brought together by a shared commitment to purpose, personal growth, community, and the possibility of creating something more beautiful than what already exists.
We value people who are willing to be curious about themselves and others. Who want to take responsibility for their impact. Who can celebrate the brilliance of another person without needing to diminish their own.
People who want to do big things in the world and also want to have a really good time being alive.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
PURPOSE
We believe that each of us has something meaningful to contribute.
That might be a business, a creative offering, a movement, a way of caring for others, or something entirely different.
We take our visions seriously. We help one another bring them into the world. And we recognize that purpose isn't only about what we accomplish, but also how we live.
COMMUNITY + INTERDEPENDENCE
We believe that needing one another is part of being human.
We want to move beyond the idea that independence is the ultimate measure of success and explore what becomes possible when we share our gifts, resources, challenges, and lives.
Interdependence means learning to ask for help, learning to receive, and taking genuine responsibility for how we show up for one another.
RADICAL ALIVENESS + WHOLENESS
We believe that transformation happens within us and between us.
Radical Aliveness is one of the guiding practices of our community. It invites us to explore our emotional lives, our bodies, our relationships, and the larger systems we're part of.
We welcome the parts of ourselves that are often hidden or unwelcome: fear, shame, grief, anger, desire, power, vulnerability, and everything else that makes us human.
We're interested in what happens when we stop trying to be perfect and start becoming more whole.
JOY + PLEASURE
We don't believe we have to earn our joy by accomplishing enough.
Pleasure, beauty, laughter, connection, and rest are not rewards for doing important work. They're part of what makes life worth living.
We want to create a community where joy is something we practice, not something we postpone.
PLAY + CREATIVITY
We take our purpose seriously, but we don't want to take ourselves too seriously.
We want to dance, make art, sing karaoke, play games, have ridiculous conversations, experiment, and try things that might not work.
Play helps us discover new possibilities, connect across differences, and remember that life can be fun.
COURAGE + RESPONSIBILITY
Real community isn't always comfortable.
Relationships bring up our fears, defenses, assumptions, and old patterns. We will misunderstand one another. We will have conflict. We will sometimes disappoint one another.
We want to practice staying curious, speaking honestly, taking responsibility, repairing when possible, and making room for complexity.
We're not trying to create a community without difficulty.
We're trying to create one with the capacity to work through difficulty together.
WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
On Purpose Collective is growing through several interconnected expressions of community.
Each one offers a different way to participate, contribute, connect, and help bring our larger vision into the world.
01. THE YEARLONG COLLECTIVE
Deep relationships. Purpose-driven work. Radical Aliveness. Real support.
Beginning in January 2027, we're launching our first yearlong cohort for purpose-driven entrepreneurs, healers, creatives, and leaders.
Members will gather biweekly for connection, embodied practices, small-group support, and opportunities to receive healing work.
Throughout the year, we'll also come together for quarterly retreats and daylong experiences, along with informal gatherings, celebrations, and opportunities to collaborate.
This is a place to bring your biggest visions, your real-life challenges, and everything that comes up as you work to create something meaningful.
A place where people know what you're building, care about your success, and are willing to challenge and support you along the way.
02. COMMUNITY GATHERINGS + EXPERIENCES
Good people. Good food. Deep connection. Lots of fun.
We believe that community grows through shared experiences.
Sometimes that means sitting together in a deep, transformative group process.
Sometimes it means singing karaoke, sharing a meal, dancing until midnight, or playing a ridiculous game.
We want both.
Our gatherings may include:
Community dinners and potlucks
Game nights, karaoke, music, and dancing
Workshops, retreats, and embodied experiences
Radical Aliveness groups
Art, creativity, and collaborative projects
Celebrations, parties, and special events
Opportunities to connect, rest, and simply be together
Some gatherings will be planned. Others will emerge from what people are interested in, creating, or needing.
We want our community to be alive, responsive, and full of possibility.
03. COMMUNITY CARE + MUTUAL SUPPORT
Showing up for one another is part of the practice.
We want to build a community where people don't have to navigate every difficult moment on their own.
That might mean connecting someone with a practitioner, helping a member through a difficult transition, sharing professional expertise, offering practical support, or raising resources when someone in our community is facing a challenge.
Sometimes what we need is money or professional services.
Sometimes we need someone to bring dinner, sit with us while we grieve, help us make a difficult decision, or remind us that we're not alone.
And sometimes we need people who will celebrate our success as though it were their own.
We're interested in building relationships where giving and receiving are both valued.
Where support moves in many directions.
Where our individual gifts become collective resources.
And where community is something we can count on, not just something we talk about.
04. OUR PERMANENT HOME
A place to live, work, create, celebrate, and grow old together.
Our long-term vision is to create a permanent home for On Purpose Collective in the Bay Area.
We imagine a beautiful property where people can live in community, build their businesses, create art, facilitate retreats, gather for meals, host celebrations, and support one another through the many seasons of life.
A place where purpose-driven people can bring their work and their lives together.
We imagine shared spaces for coworking, workshops, healing, movement, art, and collaboration.
Beautiful outdoor areas for gathering, gardening, resting, and playing.
Homes for a core group of community members who want to live alongside one another.
Spaces where practitioners, artists, and facilitators can offer their work.
Retreats and experiences that bring people together from beyond our immediate community.
And plenty of ordinary, beautiful moments.
Morning coffee with people you love.
Someone making lunch while someone else works on a project nearby.
Children growing up surrounded by adults who care about them.
Dinner that turns into music and dancing.
A friend knocking on your door because they're having a hard day.
People growing older together, supporting one another through illness, loss, change, and everything else life brings.
We want to build a place where belonging isn't something we have to keep searching for.
And we want to build something that lasts. Something that can grow, evolve, and be passed on to future generations.
We're actively exploring properties, partnerships, funding, and ownership structures that could make this possible.
We'll also host quarterly community visioning gatherings where interested people can hear updates, contribute ideas, explore possibilities, and help shape what we create.
The property is an important part of our vision.
But the community comes first.
We're building the relationships, practices, and culture now that will eventually fill that home.
A DIFFERENT WAY OF LIVING
On Purpose Collective is about more than the events we host or the programs we create.
It's about asking some bigger questions.
What does success look like when we include our relationships, our health, our pleasure, and our sense of belonging?
What would it mean to build businesses that support beautiful lives, instead of lives that revolve around keeping our businesses running?
How might our communities change if we shared more of our resources, knowledge, and care?
What if personal transformation and collective transformation were part of the same practice?
What if we could create lives where we have enough support to take big risks, enough security to rest, enough connection to be vulnerable, and enough freedom to play?
We're interested in exploring these questions together.
And then experimenting with what it looks like to actually live the answers.
We don't have a perfect model or all the answers.
We're building something that will grow and change as the people in it grow and change.
But we're clear about what matters.
We want lives filled with purpose, freedom, pleasure, creativity, connection, and love. And we want to build them together.
WHY I'M BUILDING THIS
I've spent much of my life thinking about what it would look like if people didn't have to carry so much alone.
I grew up with a deep sense of loneliness, watching how much my mother carried and wishing life could be different.
That longing shaped so much of what I've created.
I spent years working in education and social work, supporting children, families, and communities. Later, I founded Open Space Design, where I've spent the past decade helping people transform their homes and their lives.
Throughout that work, I've seen how deeply our physical environments, relationships, emotional lives, and sense of possibility are connected.
I've also spent years building community, facilitating groups, exploring personal transformation, and creating spaces where people can bring more of themselves.
And again and again, I've watched extraordinary people do extraordinary things while quietly carrying far too much.
People with enormous hearts, beautiful visions, and so much to offer the world.
People who are exhausted, lonely, overwhelmed, or struggling to find the support they need.
I've felt that in my own life, too.
And I've come to believe that we don't need to choose between doing meaningful work and having beautiful, connected, pleasurable lives.
I want both.
I want to build things that matter. I want to transform lives. I want to make art, travel, dance, host dinner parties, and spend my days surrounded by people I love.
I want to be part of a community where we can support one another through the hardest parts of life and celebrate wildly when things are wonderful.
And I want that community to be here for the rest of my life.
On Purpose Collective is my attempt to build that place.
Not a perfect world.
A more human one.
